BAMFORD MULTI PLATE CLUTCH.

Herewith we send L. sch. 3472. showing the multi plate clutch for the above car. E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} has already had a print of a drawing of this same number, but this is now obsolete, and we shall be glad if it could be destroyed.

In accordance with instructions received over the telephone we have made it possible to take the clutch down in order to remove the flywheel from the crankshaft before the latter is dismounted from the engine.

On account of the position of the change speed tower there is some space available between the clutch and the gearbox, and we have utilised it to insert a torsionally flexible coupling instead of one behind the gearbox.

EA.
