Regarding the application of Lec.3412 to production. At the moment, the spring used on production, which is not giving entire satisfaction, appears to have an excess of closing torque over friction torque of 60% approx. This being so, raising this excess to 77% will not put us clear of the trouble and we recommend increasing the load in the closed position from 3.75 lbs. to about 5.3 lbs. which will give us approx. 150% margin.
