Performance analysis of a lightened push rod compared to a standard set up.

The lightened push rod alone gives a 210 r.p.m. advantage with the Halford tappet, and 220 r.p.m. with a standard set up.

This is better understood when it is known that a solid steel B.60 push rod weighs .23 lbs. - 16% more than a standard inlet valve.
