BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} from EFC X3498 EFC5/T13.2.29. PARK ROYAL AMMETER X.3498 X.4670 The Park Royal ammeter on an expl. car continues to give satisfactory performance after over 28000 miles. I am only mentioning the fact as a matter of interest and for your consideration as to whether anything further should be done in the matter of obtaining further instruments in view of the fact that it may be considered desirable to have a second string to the Elliott. You will remember that the position in respect of this instrument was put to R.{Sir Henry Royce} but he did not reply, and therefore we decided not to do anything further at that time, i.e. 5 months ago. There is also the Ferranti ammeter which is behaving satisfactorily on an expl. car after 3800 miles though it gave a little trouble in the early stages. It might be expedient at this stage for us to make a report to R.{Sir Henry Royce} briefly stating the present position. EFC. | ||
