To E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}:

Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}9/KT.20.11.33.

P.II. STEERING.

With reference to E.3/HP.17.11.33. and steering experiments N.Sch.3759. and N.Sch.3762. These experiments were instructed for 27-EX. We subsequently decided to go for the independent front wheel springing as a means of curing our steering troubles. 27-EX car will be on the road by the end of the week.

The parts which have been prepared will be fitted to 22-EX as soon as it has completed 10,000 miles running on controllable dampers, this should be by the end of the month.
