Exhaust Valves Le Mans Bentley. We have designed two alternative exhaust valves RS.{Sir Henry Royce's Secretary}275 and RS.{Sir Henry Royce's Secretary}276 which it is suggested should be run on the 24 hours endurance test bed. At the same time E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} thinks the mixture strength should be increased to get cooler running and the original valve springs fitted which are of a lighter poundage. To prove if this improves the conditions for the valves the engine should be fitted with exhaust valves in this order:- No.2. RS.{Sir Henry Royce's Secretary}275. No.3.
