Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Std.8/KW.7.1.36.

We should like to thank you for the assistance which you have given us in this matter.

With regard to your letter of Dec. 16th, 1935, in which you quote us 22/6d. for one E.80893 Calorstat. Our reason for approaching you on this subject was to see if you could quote us a competitive price as you did when the matter was first discussed.

Messrs. Smith are at present supplying us with the above Calorstat for £1. 0. 0d. each, so that unless you can reduce your quotation considerably, we cannot proceed any further in the matter.

We have despatched to you the experimental thermostat which you sent us for trial.

We look forward to receiving the curves mentioned in our letter Hs {Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} /Std.26/KW.20.12.35 which Capt. Payne promised to send us.

Wishing you all the best in the New Year.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LIMITED.
