[Handwritten: Clan Foundry] To Swaffield. from Ev.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} SECRET. RE CHASSIS BLUEPRINTS. copy to Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} Mtn. This memo is to confirm our conversation with Mtn. concerning the removal of chassis blueprints to the Clan Foundry. For the Rationalised Programme, which is all that we have any interest in at the moment, you need only details and arrangements of B5. (originally called B3.) and its derivatives. Since we are not interested in the Aluminium engine of B5. we need not start the engine details until the advent of the Cast Iron Engine B.60. In the matter of electrical details it may be necessary to go back to pick up the latest Wraith 111. parts. It was agreed that you would immediately give Mtn. a number for each section where the split should occur, when he would put in hand arranging of the prints which we require in suitable cabinets, leaving reasonable room for expansion. When this is complete it will be necessary to inform EJJ. that transport is required. We are leaving you to comoperate with Mtn. in seeing this job through. EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} | ||
