Dear Bill,

I have been having some rather amusing, and non-productive correspondence with Mr. Cowen. I am sending you copies of the letters I have written, and the one I have received. I am bumping my head against a brick wall, but I think it is good for them to be told that they are not the salt of the earth, and that their suspension is really rotten!

I have definitely proved that the noise in the engine is in the valve gear, and I suggested to Derby they send somebody over here, with the necessary bits and pieces, such as push rods, tappets and rockers, to see if a new set will stop the noise. I am tired of sending the car to Derby. I only keep them a few months, and while I have them I like to drive them rather than allow the Derby Repairs Department to remove all the tread from my tyres!

Yours sincerely,
Richard.
