OVERHEATING.

BJ. has requested me to reply to your Wor{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}5/M15/6/25.

We have the E.A.C. car No.44-PK here with louvred and plain bonnets.

Will you please send the 40/50HP 'Silver Ghost' with louvred and plain bonnets to London at once.

As regards the 20HP - we do not wish to take this if it is required by the Experimental Department, but would like to complete the tests on all cars at the same time.

We have several 20HP cars in London, on any of which the test could be made if the louvred bonnet you have prepared will fit.

I give below the dimensions of the existing bonnets of three of these cars:

53S6. 46G9. 41G6.
(1) Top hinge. 34½ 34½ 34½
(2) Offside hinge. 34 11/16 34⅝ 34 11/16
(3) Nearside hinge. 34⅝ 35 35
(4) Offside bottom edge. 34⅝ 34⅞ 34⅞
(5) Nearside bottom edge. 34⅝ 35 34⅝

If, therefore, the bonnet you have prepared is suitable for either of these cars, please send it with the 40/50HP 'Silver Ghost'.

CWB.
