Slipping nickel silver lagging on the exhaust system of car 23-EX and a proposed test on a Phantom II.

Mr. Hancock reports that on 23-EX, the nickel silver lagging on the vertical pipe continually slipped down in spite of the fact that they lifted it on three or four occasions and re-tightened the clips. In order to make certain whether this slipping of the nickel silver was due to :- (a) The asbestos packing not being so tight.
