The Bristol Aero Co,Ltd.,
Filton House,
Bristol.
Dear Sirs,
Order No.46964.
With reference to your letter of the 27th May, re the above, we would confirm that we have now prepared satisfactory conn. rod bush castings which have been rough machined against your order 46964, made in AC.6. material.
There is, however, one point which from correspondence on this subject, does not seem to be entirely clear, but on the occasion of Mr. Howlett's and the writer's visit to Bristol when this was first discussed with Mr. Ninnes, it was, we believe, arranged that we should send rough-machined bushes fully heat treated which would be finally machined and completed at Bristol.
We should like your assurance that our assumptions on this matter are correct, and on hearing from you we should then be in a position to forward say two or three bushes free of charge, as requested, for completion at your Works.
Yours faithfully,
For WELLWORTHY PISTON RINGS LTD.,
Technical Manager.
