CAR FOR R.{Sir Henry Royce} X.8770.

We thank you for your LHS{Lord Herbert Scott}9/EBN5.11.24., and the attached correspondence, which we return herewith.

We have had an opportunity of discussing this matter with Mr. Royce and he suggests that for the remaining few weeks that he will be here, and for the first part of his stay in France he should use 5-G-11 Beatonson all-weather, we may be able to let him have one of the new EAC.2. chassis, which we are producing fitted with an enclosed cabriolet body. This would be one of the three closed bodies we had proposed for the experimental EAC.2s.

By the time of his return from France possibly some announcement to the public will have been made, and the EAC.2. would then be a suitable car to remain at WW. for both Mr. Royce's use, and station journeys.

It seemed a pity at this moment to put in hand a body on a 40/50 HP. chassis as the car would scarcely be completed in time to go to France, and would soon be superceded by an EAC.2.

EV.{Ivan Evernden - coachwork} will arrange with Messrs. Young & Co. of Bromley to have the Beatonson all-weather body on 5-G-11 for a day or two, to make adjustments to the door dove tails, and repair the head leather which has been torn.
