W/S. JLE.{J. Lee Evans - Chassis Test Manager} From Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst. 86115 Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Wst.5/MJ.10.8.34. Re. Klaxon Windscreen Wipers. Replying to your LE11/D/9.8.34 re. the above. The reason for our enquiry was due to the fact that a very noisy wiper had been observed on a customer's Bentley chassis by Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} We note your remarks about the fitting troubles at coachbuilders and we wonder if you could suggest any means of superintending the fitting of these Klaxon wipers to avoid the troubles experienced. Our general view is that these wipers are perfectly quiet when fitted correctly particularly in the case of the 40/50 where the motor unit is mounted on the engine side of the dash.
