Dear Sir,

Re. Electric Petrol Gauge.

Many thanks for your letter of the 22nd. inst. As we anticipate that your gauge will not be ready when the car leaves Derby, we intend to make all the possible preparations now so that the instrument can be dropped into position and calibrated on a paper dial for the tests.

We should be, therefore, grateful if you would supply us with the necessary cable (16 ft. approx.) and let us know whether you intend to make the dial similar size to the previous gauge or to match the ammeter. If it is possible, we should like the tank unit, so that no alteration is necessary to the petrol tank flange.

Yours faithfully,

FOR ROLLS-ROYCE LTD.
