Re: Fires on Bentley.

Will By.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} please release, and will Roy{Sir Henry Royce}, please order a supply of screw-on terminal nuts and washers to replace the spring wires at present on all Bentley cars, in accordance with SftS/HHS.5.34. and C1S/C9.5.34. This, of course, applies to all Bentley cars, i.e., all those which have left the Works and are either in the hands of Coachbuilders or customers, and also, Bentley chassis which leave the Works in future. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} has, of course, agreed to this procedure.

With regard to all the chassis which need changing over and are either in the hands of customers or Coachbuilders, Sft.{Mr Swift} will use the same organisation as that in operation for the Rudge Whitworth Wheel job.

We take it that Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} will be issuing a standardisatio sheet for the screw-on terminal nuts and washers.

Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager}
