COPY. CJ1/TB/311224. 31st. December, 1924. Messrs. The Rapson Tyre & Jack Coy. Ltd., New Malden, SURREY. For the attention of L. Rapson,Esq. Dear Sirs, We have to thank you for your letter of the 27th instant. We are glad to hear that you have successfully overcome the tyre trouble on H.R.H. The Prince of Wales' car No. 17-TM. We note that you experienced the actual difficulty that confronted us, namely, that the oversize Rapson Tyre originally fitted could not be made steady at all speeds, and that you felt constrained to fit your smaller size in its place and to inflate it to the higher pressure recommended by The Dunlop Tyre Co. We have to thank you for the trouble you have taken to satisfy yourself of the absolute safety of the tyres for high speed driving. We are, Yours faithfully, For ROLLS-ROYCE, LIMITED, For CLAUDE JOHNSON, MANAGING DIRECTOR. | ||
