For the attention of Mr. C.S. Steadman

Dear Sirs,

Further to your letter of the 17th. instant, reference Rm {William Robotham - Chief Engineer} /Std.6/MH {M. Huckerby} , we now have pleasure in enclosing herewith charts Nos. L.685B and B.2. together with a table showing a comparison between the new block and a Gallay block tested for you some months ago.

The new block is lower in both dissipation and resistance, though it has approximately the same cooling surface per sq. ft. F.A. It loses efficiency because of the tube arrangement producing lower turbulence.

We shall be glad to supply any further information, and would be interested to have your comments.

Yours faithfully,
CLAYTON DEWANDRE CO. LTD.
