COPY. To RHC.{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer} from EJB. RHC{R. H. Coverley - Production Engineer}/EJB.1/MJ.16.4.37. With reference to the Phantom III Starter Switch that Tooby has made and which I return together with your memo and the present type of switch. I consider this switch is a very fine effort and as HP. says, merits very serious consideration. I see no reason at all why it should not be quite satisfactory There is certainly a spark when the contacts break, but I do not think this will cause any trouble as the contacts have a good wiping action. I consider the manufacturing costs would be about 1/3 of the present type, also the material cost should be much less. This would be a good job for the apprentices to assemble just leaving the fitter to finally set the contacts and check the job over. HTS/MJD. | ||
