Messrs. Rolls-Royce Limited,
DERBY.

Dear Sirs,

For the attention of Mr. Hives.

Lord Rothes has asked me to reply to your letter of 15th May to him.

In connection with the query in the last paragraph; on the 5.50/18 size our out of balance tolerance is 48" ozs. This means that when the tyre is amounted on a truly balanced wheel 6 ozs at a radius of 8" must bring it into balance otherwise the tyre is rejected for balance.

We have arranged to send you, per passenger train tomorrow, 4 more 28 x 5.50 Silent Tread Tyres and Tubes.

Yours faithfully,
INDIA TYRE & RUBBER CO,(G.B.) LIMITED.
Paul Worth.
Works Manager.
