Bailey - Chief Engineer} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/AFM.{Anthony F. Martindale}5/MH.{M. Huckerby}5.2.38. WRAITH BRAKES - DUCKHAM'S GREASE. We have recommended that certain parts of Wraith shall be lubricated with Duckham's "Keenol" Grease KG.20. This is a grease we have tested extensively and Duckhams say it is suitable for chassis lubrication. We notice that you are now using on chassis "Keenol" Grease Z.9907, which is not intended for ordinary lubrication. We do not want this grease to be used on Wraith brake parts but as the two greases look identical and will be side by side on the assembly benches, mistakes are bound to occur if both are in use. Can your people look into the suitability of using KG.20 for the hub splines etc., on which Z.9907 is being used now, and if possible discontinue using the latter?
