BENTLEY CHASSIS.
ROAD WHEELS FOR USE WITH THE NEW TYPE TYRE TO PREVENT ROLLING.

With reference to the India Tyre & Rubber Co's letter of the 4th inst., and in regard to the view expressed by yourself that it is desirable not to increase the distance from the centre of the tyre to the intersection of the pivot pin axis with the road, we have prepared a drawing GB.2317 which maintains the present distance from the pivot pin intersection to the centre of the tyre, but reduces the clearance between the side of the tyre and the side steering tube at maximum lock by approximately .225".

We think this clearance would be sufficient, but if in the event of experimental test the tyres rub, we would arrange to modify the bend in the steering tube to suit.

We return your correspondence herewith, and blueprint referred to.
