RR 22B (150 BKS.) (DB{Donald Bastow - Suspensions} 461-8-12-24) NP 3C6975 X.5740. ROLLS-ROYCE, LTD. INSTRUCTIONS. To: EFC Date: 13.Nov 1930 Order No.: AD 71. Customer's No.: X.5740 Cutout from 14 GII. In connection with the question of the ability of the cutout to deal with the increased outputs now being delivered by dynamos we have examined the cutout taken from chassis 14 GII on disposal of the car. This cutout ran somewhat over 45,000 miles without attention the last 17,000 of which was in conjunction with dynamo N, a 48 coil high output machine, and standard single rate charge switching. This included a 10000 mile test in France. The setting of the cutout is still quite correct by the production test and although slightly burnt the points still have a smooth rubbing action. In other respects the cutout shows no sign of overheating or deterioration. Signed: JHd This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work. | ||
