HOLDEN & HUNT HIGH TENSILE STEEL DRUMS Note the saving in width between the H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} & H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} High Tensile Steel-Drum- and the ordinary -pressed drums.- The Holden and Hunt Patent Brake Drum has been designed to embody the maximum of ideal features :- MAXIMUM STRENGTH AND RIGIDITY for a given weight of material. GREATER RELIABILITY than cast materials and with entire absence of "wasters." MINIMUM WIDTH for given shoe width. HIGH TENSILE MATERIAL. ABSOLUTE RETENTION OF CONCENTRICITY when hot. Modulus of elasticity 2 1/2 times greater than cast iron. HIGH RESISTANCE TO WEAR AND DISTORTION. IMMUNITY FROM DRUM SQUEAK. SUPERIOR HEAT CONDUCTIVITY over cast composite drums, such as light alloys with liners or pressed drums with outer stiffeners. COMPLETE RETENTION OF POLISHED CONDITION OF BRAKING SURFACE even under high unit pressure of brake shoes. LONGER LIFE with less wear on lining. FEWER BRAKE ADJUSTMENTS NECESSARY. All the above features are only obtained by the use of special materials and special methods of construction. Comparison between an ordinary Pressed Steel Drum and the Holden and Hunt Patent Drum, showing actual saving in width. Specially note how the H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} & H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Section allows smaller diameter brake-anchor plate and forms ideal water excluder. No. 3 Spot. No. 5 Butt. The H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} & H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Patent Steel Brake Drum is largely an outcome of our long experience in Electric Resistance Welding. For many years past we have been manufacturing Low Voltage Electric Resistance Welding Plant of every description. The fact that leading Firms throughout this country and abroad continue to prefer our All-British Welding Plant provides excellent testimony to the standard of output given by H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} & H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} Welders. We specially invite Car Manufacturers and others to send samples of various parts and let us demonstrate how, in many instances, we can effect considerable economies in production costs over such methods as rivetting, soldering, brazing, or ordinary gas welding. Repetition Work. Where a purely seasonal output or other restrictions prevent manufacturers installing an H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} & H.{Arthur M. Hanbury - Head Complaints} machine for whole-time work, we can undertake all types of resistance welding in our own works, where we have one of the largest batteries of Low Voltage machines in the United Kingdom. Send us your enquiries and let us quote you for expert work at the most economical prices. Manufactured by HOLDEN & HUNT, OLD HILL, STAFFS. Phone : CRADLEY 6015.
