in front of the front axle. Chryslers, Packard, and in fact most cars are using this. The main advantage as far as we can see is accessibility because there does not seem to be any gain in steering lock or being able to use longer arms. We note that some of the latest Delco's have their main arms secured by a nut, possibly this is to enable the damper to be taken apart more easily.

Carb. Silencers.

As an indication of the sizes to which other people will go to silence their carburetters, the Cadillac 12 cyl. has an air cleaner silencer 8" dia. 10" long for each bank of 6 cyls. It may be that even a twin choke carburetter will be susceptible to such treatment and we have experiments going through as an alternative to crank case silencer.

INTERIORS

The Germans have not got as far as circulating hot air in the body interior with electric fans. The attached sketch shows the somewhat crude scheme being utilised, circulation depending on the fan or forward motion of the car.
