HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} 12921 To WGR. From Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} re P.II and 20/25 Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}5/E12.12.33 Copy to F.Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}BT.{Capt. J. S. Burt - Engineer} 10,000 miles Chassis. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}Hdv.Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Hsd.Crs I have beenreading E.4/HP.9.12.33 and, as he says, it seems clear that the last P.II material will have to be ordered in parallel with the test, but I think the risk is one which we must take. I was very much interested to read through the various modifications which it is proposed to embody both on the P.II and the 20/25. Would E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} please note that in connection with Item No.30, Dropped Front Cross Member, with headlamp pillars, outside frame etc., I should like to see us take the opportunity, when we are lowering this cross member, of bringing the front apron further forward as at present our apron is rather out of date and leaves too much "ironmongery" outside it. Hoopers attempted to do this on their Glasgow Show car but the result was not very goodfrom an appearance point of view because to cover the cross member they had to come upwards from the bottom of the radiator.
