Hollingworth} Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/FD.{Frank Dodd - Bodies}8/JH.15.4.40. 4.B.50. We have received a complaint from Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} that the near side rear seating position on this car gets over-hot, this we agree with. The reason is that the twin exhaust boxes sweep up the frame and are placed immediately beneath the seat board which gets impossibly hot. Will you please arrange for a shield to be made of asbestos and aluminium sheet to cover the exhaust boxes on similar lines to the old exhaust silencer shields.
