- 6 - Cont'd.{John DeLooze - Company Secretary} It was agreed that Mr. Giles was not really familiar with P.S. body construction such as would be undertaken by the Body Section at Derby and would furthermore be badly needed by Mr. Ward to rationalise his custom built coachwork. It was therefore agreed that Mr. Giles should remain with Mr. Ward. BENTLEY V'S. Sg.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} said that they would like to complete as many B.V's as possible. There was no chance of any Corniche bodies being made, and therefore, if, by taking parts off Corniche chassis, standard B.V's could be completed, they would agree to this procedure. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} was asked to submit a list of chassis which could be completed if this procedure was adopted. OWNERS FOR B.V. CHASSIS. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} raised the point that there were several influential people in the motor industry who would very much like to purchase one of the B.V. cars. Under certain conditions these people could be extremely helpful to Rolls Royce after the war in enabling them to buy material at a favourable figure. As examples he mentioned Mr. Breedon and Mr. Summers. It was agreed that he would submit a list of names which would receive consideration. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} | ||
