Your ref. Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer}/Std.7/MH.{M. Huckerby} 15th March 1938. Helen Thuy/SMG Messrs. Rolls-Royce Ltd. Derby. Dear Sirs: For the attention of Mr. Steadman. Referring to your letter of the 14th inst. We much regret the delay regarding this matter. We decided that the most probable method of damping the instrument would be to use a smaller capillary. We have had some difficulty in getting this material but we are now able to proceed with the manufacture of the instrument, and we hope to be able to let you have a sample for test towards the end of next week. Incidentally the capillary we propose to use on the sample has a bore of approx. .006". Assuring you of our best attention. Yours faithfully FOR S. SMITH & SONS (MOTOR ACCESSORIES) LIMITED. P.O. Dorer ENGINEER. To avoid delay all envelopes should be addressed to the firm. | ||
