Testing a new high melting point impregnating wax, 'Seekay', for ignition coils.

IGNITION COILS. Our attention has been drawn to an impregnating wax made by Imperial Chemical Industries called "Seekay" which has a very high melting point. We have often looked out for such a wax for filling the cases of our ignition coils to prevent ozone attack on the top outside layers, and we accordingly filled a coil with this wax for test. Up-to-date the coil tested side by side with an unfilled coil has run 250 hrs. without breakdown whereas the standard unfilled coil has failed twice.
