-3- In conjunction with the large resonant silencer which has an outlet 2¼" diameter; the swan neck pipe is also 2¼" internal diameter. Summarising; if as hoped, it is possible to quieten this silencer without the introduction of baffles in the main flow, then by slight alterations as previously described, the large resonant silencer would be considerably more efficient from a power loss point of view than the present production silencer.
