X.3646 c Roy{Sir Henry Royce} EFC1/T. 30th November, 1922. The Marconi Osram Valve Co., Hammersmith, London, W.6. Dear Sirs, We have recently sent you an enquiry for rectifying valves and you have forwarded us a copy of your list of Radio valves. What we more particularly require at the moment, however, is a rectifying valve suitable for high voltages say up to 10,000, to deal with much smaller emissions than those listed. The nearest appears to be your type U.3. valve, emission 80 m.a., maximum voltage 1500. One of the purposes which we have in mind for the valve is for rectifying the high tension impulses on high tension ignition systems with a view to measurement of these by the cumulative method utilising an electrostatic voltmeter. Another purpose for which apparently | ||
