- 2 - present standard. To overcome the defect of the low temperature ( 65oC normal)I should say the jets had been strengthened up to obtain acceleration etc. For slow running for instance the mixture control had no effect. It was hardly opportune under the circumstances to make any change, but with [redacted] notes left for Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} who must know the characteristics of these new features, he would no doubt make the best compromise. Alterations would I consider be required especially to suit U.S.A. conditions. Our experience so far points to the fact that the minimum working water temperature should not be less than 70oC. You agree, however, that with 25-EX the carburation of this engine may have been affected by the fitting of special inlet silencer and you will arrange for us to try a car fitted with the latest proposed features. We should then concentrate on obtaining better carburation even than our present standard, in which case we should then be able to recommend lower water temperature control. EP.{G.
