Commander Briggs,

Dear Briggs,

With reference to your letter of the 6th. inst, ref. WB{Mr Brazier/Mr Bell}2/JS{Mr Johnson's Secretary}/6529. and details of Mr. Constantine's indicator.

While there is no doubt that this invention represents a marked improvement to the rheostat type of indicator, we ourselves use the R.A.E. Electrical indicator which has, of course, given excellent results and we think is far and away better than any other type of indicator, therefore, at the moment we do not think that we can make use of Mr. Constantine's improvements at the moment although we will keep the idea in front of us.

I hope your job is going well and that you will have a successful trip to America.

Yours sincerely,
