Dry pumping time tests comparing different pipe and filter configurations at various speeds.

(a) with just a 12' 6" pipe direct from
tank to pump.

(b) with a metal plate filter and, 3 way
tap, in addition to the 12' 6" suction
pipe.

These showed that the "dry pumping" time at
20 P.R.P.M., was considerably reduced with the
4 cc head, but the advantage diminished at 50
P.R.P.M., and over while the deliveries of the two
heads were practically the same up to 2000 P.R.P.M.
