Mrs. E.R. Hall,
53, Berkeley Court,
LONDON, N.W.1.

Dear Mrs. Hall,

Here is a picture of the biggest tank which I can get in on the Bentley for the 24 hours race.

Since two tanks are not allowed, it really is impossible to carry more than 32 gallons at the extreme end of the chassis, which will give you a range of about 300 miles. As we have shown it, there is not enough clearance between the spare wheel and the petrol tank, and we should like the coachwork to accommodate this.

The spare wheel carrier will take a bit of making: if you manage to arouse Sg{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD}'s enthusiasm sufficiently I hope we shall be allowed to tackle all these jobs here.

You will notice that we cannot get the petrol gauge in as shown with the spare wheel carrier where it is. If we put it on the top side, the gauge will not register the last two gallons. The filler can be either side of the tank, and will be on the flat part of the fairing.

Yours sincerely,
