E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} from R.{Sir Henry Royce} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} c. to BJ. Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} RG{Mr Rowledge} c. to DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} X 5230 H3/M&21.1.28. SUPER SPORTS 20 HP. EXHAUST MANIFOLDS AND PIPE. X.8230 X.5230 X.7230 It is understood that on the improved 20 HP.(next 10,000 miles) and on Super-sports, these will be on the lines of Sch.935 but proportionately larger bore. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/ACL's memo. of 17/1/28 on the subject, speaks of Sch.934, and in the diagram it is better than Sch.935, and no explanation of what this is, and why we may not have it. Probably there is some mistake as I understood that for some time we thought type Sch.935 was the best practical pipe. I sent to E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} yesterday my sketch of a 2 car exhaust pipes like Sch.935, and also the 3 long ones as used by Mercedes in their sports. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
