HS{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/RM.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} FROM R.{Sir Henry Royce} C. to SG.{Arthur F. Sidgreaves - MD} WOR.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} RG.{Mr Rowledge} C. to E.{Mr Elliott - Chief Engineer} RY. re. BENSPORT. Peregrine I am very pleased to hear that the engine is progressing well. I quite agree to modifying the present head to get better cooling, and it would be helpful to make the very best of this type for comparison with a new [redacted] head for the Bensport. Regarding the gearbox Mr Hardy is getting on well with this and we feel sure you will be pleased with the greater simplicity and reliability that the absence of the servo drive permits. Some part of the scheme will be very useful to L.H. J.3., but on this we have to retain the servo. R.{Sir Henry Royce} | ||
