Dear Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair},

I enclose herewith a memorandum I have just received from our Detroit laboratory on the subject of valve steels for motor car use. This, I think, is self-explanatory, but I thought that you, Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} and Coverley might like to have the information for purposes of reference.

I am coming to Derby to see Wood on Tuesday next, the 15th September, and if you are available in the evening of that day I would rather like to see you. Perhaps you would have dinner with me.

With kind regards,

Yours sincerely,
[Signature: F.R. Banks]
