X4199 To D/L. from Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}3/LG4.2.25. ACCIDENT TO 35-PK CAR. With reference to D/L10/B2.2.25. The only modification we wish to make to the body which was on 35-PK car, is to raise the scuttle 1" and to increase the width 3". The scuttle on the body which was damaged in the accident is entirely smashed and it will be necessary, in any case, to make a new scuttle. We desire that it should be made to the new dimensions. As regards cost. We can only give very rough figures. Assuming the body is built with the same dimensions as before the accident, it would cost us approximately £15 (fifteen pounds). If the alterations are carried out at the time the body is being repaired, we do not see why it should entail any increase to the original estimate. It could not be more than £2 or £3 in any case.
