RE. PISTONS WITH SLOTTED SKIRTS.

Mr. Platford has been on the telephone this afternoon, stating that C.J. has instructed that the following three cars are to be fitted up immediately with low compression pistons with slotted skirts.

19-LW - Mr.Northey Trials.
10-LW - C.J. Trials.
1-LW - Barker Trials.

The two former cars are at the works, and the latter has already been delivered to Barkers, and will have to be changed over there.

He furthermore instructs that all chassis which have been despatched and which have left the country are to be fitted with pistons with slotted skirts, but the compression is to remain the same.

The chassis affected are as follows:-

2-PP - Schuette, America. Low compression.
1-X - Brewster, America. Low compression.
4-X - Schuette, America. High compression.
8-PP - America. High compression.
36-PP - Paris. High compression.
3-X - Salamanca. High compression.
3-PP - Australia. Low compression.

We should be glad if you could arrange for these pistons to be instructed and supplied to us for these chassis as quickly as ever possible. Especially is it necessary for the first three chassis mentioned above to be dealt with immediately, i.e. 19-LW, 10-LW, and 1-LW.

There may be other chassis which have left the works and which may eventually be sent abroad, we are going into this with "Sales".
