Some observations were made on the operation, under road conditions, of the automatic switch fitted to 8 EX. A voltmeter, connected to the inspection lamp terminals, read approximately the battery terminal voltage; the ampere output being measured by the chassis ammeter. The results, and the conditions under which obtained, were as follows:- Car standing. After a short run (the dash on the driving side was just warm) the switch operated at 16.0 volts. Car running. In a warmed up condition (Engine 80°C) 1 Switch operated at 15.8 volts. Cutput reduced from 7.0 to 4.8 amperes. 2 After further running (Engine 85°C, dash (Cont'd) Signed This Sheet must be filed on completion of the work. | ||
