6013. Wst. Are you satisfied with this? Rm{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} c. Rm.{William Robotham - Chief Engineer} HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr} E/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner}1/HP.27.5.37 Wraith III Battery Ignition. Referring to HPS.{Horace Percy Smith - Experimental Factory Mgr}1/VS.{J. Vickers}20.4.37, we have made a design LeC.5694 which we send to you herewith, adapting the R.R. battery ignition tower to suit the drive which was designed for the Delco Remy. It is unfortunate that the decision to abandon the Delco Remy was made after the engine designs were completed because the adapted scheme will of course cost more than the present 25/30 owing to the additional pieces. The top bakelite moulding and the 7 H.T. wires will be closer to the hot exhaust manifold, and we may have to introduce a shield to protect them. E/JNR.{Charles L. Jenner} | ||
