To RDY. from EPC. RFC1/T1.2.26. X.4522 - ELLIOTT AMMETER. Answering your RUY11/MG27.1.25, we have by this time completed satisfactorily one 10,000 mile test on an Elliott ammeter on a 40/50 car. The appearance is still quite good, and the black finish is not chipped in any way. There is about to be carried out a 10,000 mile test on a 20 HP. chassis, and for this purpose we have fitted another one of these ammeters, and we would prefer, before passing through a standardisation sheet for this item, to await the completion of this test on the second instrument on the other chassis. There would then be very reasonable prospects of this instrument being agreed to for standardisation, it being remembered that standardisation would apaly to both chassis. EPC. | ||
