BENTLEY TYRE PUMP.
----------

We have to-day received a visit from Mr. Chapman of Messrs Kinsmen, re the above. He put forward a suggestion whereby the handle is of improved design and made of reinforced bakelite.

The foot hold at the base of the pump is a neat fixture, being a hot pressing in one with the pump base. The pump barrel is of course chromium plated.

As the cost of the Dies for the handle and base foothold is a consideration, we have asked them to submit a pump as follows for testing etc:-

(1) Barrel to be chromium plated.
(2) Handle to be of new design but made in wood.
(3) Foot hold to be fastened to present type base.

This is also to enable us to see if we like this scheme before running up extra cost, which they will submit the same time as the trial pump.

As soon as we receive this pump and have tried same we will forward it for your inspection.

Meanwhile we are carrying on with the present type, viz: chromium plated barrel and better finished handle.
