x2675. To Sft.{Mr Swift} from Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} c. to Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} 2/KT.3.6.33. PETROL PUMP TESTS FOR BENTLEY. For the first time we are manufacturing our own petrol pumps for the Bentley. It is essential that the delivery of the pump should be carefully checked before they are fitted to the chassis. To do this properly the complete petrol system should be rigged up and the pump driven by a cam from a variable motor. The finished pump should give a delivery as shown on the attached curve Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}1034. We have a complete test rig in the Expl. Dept which we should be glad to show you, demonstrating exactly under what conditions the delivery is measured. There is a certain amount of finesse in the way the fabrics are fitted in the pumps. We should also be glad to show your people how this should be done when they assemble the first of these pumps. Hs{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair}/Rn.{Mr Robinson} | ||
