"SS{S. Smith}" STARTING HANDLE GEAR. X7270
Herewith we send N. sch. 2684. shewing the arrangement of the starting handle on the "SS{S. Smith}" engine.
An alternative method of carrying the front end of the spring is shewn, and it is suggested that the simple one without a washer should be used first.
We shall send you particulars of the dumb iron in the course of a day or two.
