A very long time ago we spent much time in improving the coil between us, Mr. Clarke having suggested that the bakelite case could be used if the coil was longer, with more clearance between the outer layer of the secondary, and the inside of the case, which could be left open filled with suitable material possibly mica and wax; (nothing done finally.)

It appears we could always use the bakelite fittings so that there need only be the main piece in stabalite - (new suggestion by me.)

When we have heard that you wish to use stabalite (of which there was difficulty in finishing after vulcanising) we designed and arranged for a circular case with a circular base which could be more easily finished in a machine than the present square base. Nothing was done with all the above. We find the job has fallen flatly to its old expensive condition. Kindly explain.
