X.3730 To EY. from DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} c. to CJ. Wor.{Arthur Wormald - General Works Manager} Hs.{Lord Ernest Hives - Chair} DA{Bernard Day - Chassis Design}2/M7.3.24. GOSHAWK 11. EXPL: BODY SUSPENSION. We believe you have been waiting for instructions as to the rear step iron to be used in conjunction with the experimental suspension. We send herewith N.Sch.1762 shewing the step iron in the position in which we think it can go. We propose to cantilever the runningboard off it and get the coachbuilders to provide the necessary stiffness to the latter. This drawing merely shews the step iron, and the runningboards will be dealt with directly with the coach-builders. DA.{Bernard Day - Chassis Design} | ||
