PRICES ALTERNATIVE TO WHITMORE'S COMPOUND. ------------------------------------ There is an important issue which suggests itself in this connection, that is, whether it is possible to mix Prices new lubricant with Whitmore's Compound. I note that no bad effects have arisen as a result of "topping up" an axle box with "Amber A" oil, but we should push this issue to its ultimate conclusion and check whether Prices Compound, Whitmores Compound, and Wakefields equivalent, can be mixed without disturbing the lubricating qualities or stability of the resulting mixture. This is important, as we must state the case clearly when we issue the necessary addition or correction to our instruction book. BY.{R.W. Bailey - Chief Engineer} BM | ||
